Adding gold like look to your text, can be done just using the Blending properties of layer .

In this photoshop tutorial, we show you just how. The tutorial is very short and is ideally suited to Photoshop beginners.

Over the next few weeks we will regularly feature tutorials, some of which will be of an advanced level.

In a new Photoshop document add any text that needs golden touch, in golden colour (Eye drop from picture which looks like gold for you).

Now using magic wand select the text as shown in picture. ( use select similar layer)

Then go to toolbar select > modify > expand and expand the text by 5px . and fill it with gold colour ( need to rasterize the layer before applying this) .

Step 1

Now select blending properties >  and select outer shadow and change the opacity of the shadow to 50 to 60 % . to make the text look as a real object .

the interior of the text shape looks empty so inorder to add make it look like object with projection outwards select inner shadow . And select darker shade or the gold .

Step 2

Next add Bevel and emboss effect  and select

Step 3

And select counters if u like sleek look ( and reduce the shadow opacity to avoid over blackening of edges )

Step 4

Then final part of the effect is adding real Golden look . Real gold looks slightly of darker shade with different semi transparent black with different contour .

So select satin and adjust the size of contour and contour pattern. Select the best that fits your look

So make things gold like king Midas with your digital touch  :)
